Verizon Wireless launches V CAST Performances, a music performance and concert tour program that lets customers view clips from the performances on their V CAST capable phones. The program premieres today with concert footage of Gavin DeGraw and multi-platinum rock band Live, and an exclusive performance by emerging artist Cheyenne Kimball at the Canal Room in New York City tonight. V CAST Performances will include club and theatre performances, tours presented by Verizon Wireless and special live performance events. Customers will be able to extend the concert experience by downloading streaming video clips of the live music performances as well as new music videos on a rotating basis with up to three broadband quality video clips of every artist in the V CAST Performance series.
Cheyenne joins the V CAST Performance series when she performs exclusively for Verizon Wireless at the Canal Room in New York City, on the eve of her new album debut “The Day Has Come.” Her current single “Hanging On” is an MTV and radio hit. Clips of Cheyenne’s Verizon Wireless performance at the Canal Room will be available on V CAST Performances as soon as tomorrow. The V CAST service feeds music enthusiasts’ passion for a full 360 degree experience by enabling them to get their music anyway they want, through ring tones, ringback tones, full-length song downloads, wallpapers and through V CAST Performances, the ultimate souvenir from a concert – portions of the performance itself. V CAST Performances will be produced to maintain the integrity of the authentic performance that concert goers experience. The program is also the most comprehensive available in the industry, with content from over 50 of the hottest emerging and established artists performing across the United States this year. Some of the venues where performances will be captured include: Atlanta Roxy, Atlanta Tabernacle, Cincinnati’s Taft Theatre and Bogart’s Showcase Club, Houston’s Verizon Wireless Theatre and Club V @ the Verizon Wireless Theatre, Los Angeles’ Avalon Hollywood and the Wiltern LG, New York’s Irving Plaza and Hammerstein Ballroom, Philadelphia’s TLA Theatre and the Electric L. Performance footage will be captured by concert promoter, Live Nation. To view V CAST Performances, Verizon Wireless customers need a V CAST enabled phone and a $15 per month V CAST VPak subscription. There is no additional cost to view V CAST Performances video clips. Customers may purchase a V CAST capable phone at any Verizon Wireless store including stores within Circuit City or at www.verizonwireless.com.
