Revenue sharing, the cornerstone of Revver’s business model, has been in place since 2005 when Revver became the first online video service to compensate users for sharing content online by splitting net revenue 50/50.

This commitment to monetizing creative expression drove Revver’s recent partnership with U.K.-based user-generated video channel, Fame TV, which facilitates the distribution of its videos via broadcast television. As part of this new relationship with Verizon Wireless, Revver now will share net revenue 50/50 with users who have opted to allow their content to be shared via V CAST. V CAST subscribers will have access to some of the most popular content from a variety of Revver’s video creators chosen from categories on Revver.com, such as Editor’s Picks, Viral Video Classics, Extreme Sports, Laughs, Animation, and Cute Overdose. Revver will provide new video clips each week to V CAST, and content will be refreshed twice a week. V CAST users who subscribe to this content can also preview clips of what they will see on-the-go in the "V CAST Collection" section on Revver.com. In addition, clips will be optimized for mobile to give V CAST viewers the best possible viewing experience. As part of the agreement, Verizon Wireless will have a period of exclusivity as the U.S. mobile distribution partner for Revver. To get V CAST, Verizon Wireless customers can purchase a V CAST VPak subscription for $15.00 monthly access, or $3.00 daily access, added to their Verizon Wireless calling plan. The subscription includes unlimited basic video, but application download fees apply for 3D games and premium video. There are no airtime charges to stream or watch V CAST content.
